Solved: Not receiving gmail notification if data saver is Not sure if this might fix the problem. But I have two thoughts for you. 1. I don't use data saver. But I go through all my apps manually in >Settings >Apps and turn backround data off on all my apps except the ones I want to receive notifications from. 2. I use my Gmail account through the Samsung email app rather than the actual Gmail app itself.
