Internet Connection Dropped - Netgear Router Settings Router at the home began to drop internet connection. Wireless devices are still connected to the router as well as hard wire computer, no internet connection. Have to reboot the router. Upgraded to a new Netgear Router. Same problem is still happening. I have to reset the router through the Netgear Genie. R7500 Keeps dropping connection to internet. Needs R7500 Keeps dropping connection to internet. Needs a restart Connecting directly to the modem has no issues. This is only for Wifi and LAN connections. VPN phone, computer, laptop and phone all have no internet access. The old router never game me any troubles but I just agreed to a new 2-year contract with Verizon so the new router was included. The work router just gets me connected to my work network w/o a VPN connection. I have a Netgear wireless extender upstairs which is what my work router is connected to.
