The second issue is simply that quad buffered stereo using nvidia 3d vision no longer works. In order for it to be enabled one need a 3d vision compatible screen/graphics card and a 3d vision nvidia emitter and some stereo glasses and the application have to be in fullscreen mode.
Despite nearly identical hardware, in the past only Quadro cards were able to do quad buffered OpenGL stereo. I have been unable to get a quad-buffered 3D capable program (Agisoft Photoscan) working GTX 750 Ti with driver version 344.6 . I contacted nvidia support to ask about this three days ago, but have not had any response.
